Open Forum – Party Celebration
Wednesday, December 23, 2009 - 11:45am - 1:00pm
Location: Conor O'Neills
It’s party time at LA2M and we are hosting a different kind of lunchtime event. This year’s lunchtime gathering will benefit the Robert J Delonis Center – Washtenaw County’s local community center offering food and temporary shelter for the homeless.
Conor O’Neills is laying on a special buffet; the meeting is being organized around “wall boards with open themes”, we’ll have party decorations, a charity food drive, festive music and a full hour to celebrate the holidays and meet with LA2M friends. Come let your hair down, relax and join in the fun.
Party Happenings:
Lunch: Conor O’Neills are lying on a special buffet menu. A portion of lunch fees will be donated to The Robert J Delonis Center. There will be a cash bar, a “networking friendly” layout, and plenty of festive flair. Lunch is bookable in advance. Food Drive: The Delonis Center is supported by Food Gatherers who run The Community Kitchen at the center. The kitchen provides 20 meals per week to those in need. LA2M will have a food barrel set up for you to make donations of non-perishable canned and dry goods that are unopened, in good condition and not expired. Specially requested items include: high-protein items, cereal, kid-friendly foods, baby formula, soups, stews, canned meat/fish. Sort through your cupboards, and come along to help support this great cause.
If you are not able to make it to LA2M's Dec 23rd meeting you may drop off you nonperishable food to the Ann Arbor Area Chamber of Commerce between now and Wednesday, December 23.
Open Space - Networking / Topic Boards: There will be a number of “wall boards” set up with marker pens and post-it notes for LA2M guests to form “topic specific” networking groups. This will be a chance for you to pick a topic, post your comments and involve other like-minded people in sharing ideas. To prepare for this you can do two things in advance:
2) Post your ideal Open Space Topic Suggestions ahead of time using LA2M Comments on this Christmas Party Event page. I.e.:
- LA2M wish list.:
- What should LA2M be doing that it isn't
- Suggested future topics/speakers
- Upcoming Events (outside of LA2M) to be Shared / Discussed
- New niche meet-up groups needed
- Immediate business needs ("asks")
- Manual Tweetboard
- Favorite Apps by category:
- PC collaboration tools
- Mobile apps
- Social networking tools
- Browser plug-ins
Come prepared to have some fun!
